Buying a probe from Autoentic
Autoentic is an authorized DeFelsko reseller. When you buy a PosiTector probe from autoentic.com/shop, DeFelsko ships the probe directly to you from their New York facility, and Autoentic coordinates the order, any warranty exchanges, and support. This page is the canonical policy for ship times, returns, and address corrections.
What to expect
- You'll receive an order confirmation email within minutes of purchase.
- Your order is forwarded to DeFelsko within 1 business day.
- DeFelsko ships via FedEx; tracking arrives within 5–10 business days of your purchase.
- When the probe arrives, open the Autoentic app and pair it in under two minutes (pairing guide).
DeFelsko manufacturer cadence
DeFelsko is a manufacturer, not a distribution center. Busy weeks can push shipments toward the longer end of the 5–10 business-day window. We update you by email when the order is forwarded and again when DeFelsko hands it to FedEx.
Shipping
- Where we ship: lower 48 US states at launch. Canada is coming in a later release.
- Carrier: FedEx, shipped directly from DeFelsko's New York facility.
- Service options:
- FedEx Ground — 5–10 business days.
- FedEx Express — 3–5 business days.
- Signature required on delivery.
- Orders placed Friday evening through Sunday are forwarded to DeFelsko on Monday morning.
Address corrections
Spot a typo in your shipping address? Reply to your order confirmation email within 1 hour of purchase, or email [email protected] with your reference code, and we'll correct it before we forward the order.
Addresses freeze after forwarding
Once we've forwarded the order to DeFelsko, the shipping address is locked. This is deliberate: probes are high-value, and a late address change is the classic reship-fraud pattern we have to guard against. If the order has already shipped and the address is wrong, follow the returns process below.
Returns
- 30-day return window from delivery date.
- Customer pays return shipping.
- Returned probes must not have been used to scan a vehicle. Pairing the probe to your account in the Autoentic app is fine — we'll deregister it on our end when we accept the return, so the serial is released for the next buyer.
- Probe must be in its original packaging.
- Restocking fee: TBD (pending confirmation with DeFelsko — we'll publish the exact rate on this page before it applies to any real order).
- Refunds are processed within 5 business days of DeFelsko receiving the return.
To start a return, email [email protected] with your reference code. We'll coordinate with DeFelsko, walk you through return shipping, and deregister the probe from your account.
Defective probes
Every PosiTector ships with a 2-year DeFelsko warranty. If your probe arrives damaged or develops a defect within the warranty window, Autoentic coordinates the exchange on your behalf — you don't call DeFelsko. Email [email protected] with your reference code and a short description of the issue. Warranty exchanges have no restocking fee.
Cancellations
- Before your order is forwarded to DeFelsko: full refund, no fees.
- After your order has shipped: follow the returns process above.
To cancel an order, reply to your order confirmation email or write to [email protected] with your reference code. If the order hasn't shipped yet, we can usually cancel within the hour.
Multiple businesses
If you own multiple shops or legal entities, use a dedicated email address for each business when you check out. Our onboarding treats each email address as a separate organization — buying probes for three shops under a single email creates one combined account, which is rarely what a multi-entity operator wants.
